About Journal of the Daesoon Academy of Sciences

Since its foundation as a research institute affiliated with Daejin University in 1996, the Daesoon Academy of Sciences has been promoting the academic development of Daesoon Thought to contribute to the goal achievement of the order, Daesoon Jinrihoe. In addition, the Academy shall aim to contribute to bringing peace and harmony to the human society through researches on its religious culture.

Text Analysis of Discourse on Online Fortune-Telling Service in Korea: Exploring User Responses through the Methodology of Cultural Analytics

This study analyzes user discourse on fortune-telling services across Korean online platforms. Drawing on Manovich’s methodology of Cultural Analytics, approximately 700,000 posts collected from five platforms—Dcinside Yeokgal, Naver Blog, Naver Café, FM Korea, and TheQoo—from January 2019 to September 2025 were examined.
